Oven Croquette pushes Kwekkeboom sales

‘A revolution in frozen foods’. CEO Bart Bakker of snack producer Royaan thus categorizes the introduction of its coated snacks that come out of the oven as crunchy as if deep fried. With this product range, the turnover of Royaan rose from € 69.6 million to € 80.1 million in 2015. Consumers bought € 14.0 million worth of Oven Snacks. According to Bakker the gross margin also improved. ‘We charge premium prices for our Oven Snacks. They are almost € 1,00 more expensive than the market leader.’
